The lab assistant selection will be done according to the the School Education Department's G.O No.42 dated 06.03.2017 based on Hon'ble Madras High Courts directions. The following weightage system is proposed to be followed in the lab assistant recruitment.

TamilNadu Directorate of School Education said that there is no personal interview for this 4362 lab assistant post recruitment process. Candidates will be selected by the weight-age marks process as follows:
Total Marks 167
Marks obtained in written exam (150 Marks)
Weight-age marks (17 marks)
Weight-age Marks Calculation Method:
Employment Office Registration Seniority (up to 06.05.2015) - 10 marks
Seniority up to 2 years - 2 marks
Seniority up to 4 years - 4 marks
Seniority up to 6 years - 6 marks
Seniority up to 8 years - 8 marks
Seniority up to 10 years and above - 10 marks
Higher education qualification - 5 marks
12th std pass - 2 marks
UG Degree, PG Degree and above - 3 marks
Experience Certificate - 2 marks
Work experience as Lab Assistant - 2 marks
Certificate Verification (CV):
5 candidates will be called for each 1 post.
Certificate verification will be intimated by the concern district educational officers.
Certificate verification will be conducted on 09.04.2017, 10.04.2017 and 11.04.2017.
Candidates must bring all original certificates for the CV.
