Details of the vacancy Recruitment:

Assistant in the Department of Secretariat, other than law and finance - 54 Posts (8 SC; 2 SCA; 1 ST; 11 MBC; 2 BCM; 14 BC; 16 UR); Salary - Basic Pay Rs.5200 Grade Pay Rs.2600/- plus allowances in Pay Band I category; Educational qualification – Any Degree in any subject; Age limit - 35 years for SC/ SCA/ ST candidates; Age limit - 30 years for UR/ BC/ BCM/ MBC/ DNC candidates.

Essential Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in any subject

And

Applicant should be an approved probationer in the post held by them in the parent department and with service for a period of not less than 3 years, after acquiring Bachelor's Degree in Junior Assistant Post or in Assistant Post or in both category posts in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service / Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service

Examination type : Objective type (MCQs – multiple choice questions)
Single Paper. Total 200 Questions; Total 300 marks; Total time - 3 hours duration

General Studies in degree level - 75 MCQs
Aptitude and Mental Ability in 10th Std level - 25 MCQs
General Tamil or General English in 10th std level - 100 MCQs
